the Roman baths

A day in Bath- the Roman Baths.

Hello lovely readers!

While I was on my holiday a little while ago, we went on a day trip to Bath… and I took A LOT of pictures! We went to the Roman Baths,- how can you not, in Bath? (that’s how it got its name…) Its a very good museum, really cool and interesting. I really recommend visiting it, if you ever get the chance. however, there were a lot of tourists!

I thought I’d share a few of the pics I took.

This was when we were queuing up inside. I love taking pics of chandeliers!

I love this picture. The way the sunlight shines through the roof.

The ornate carving and golden details are so pretty.

I love angles.

(bear in mind, that all of the above were taken when we had barley got through the doors!)

Ah, now we get to the actual baths.

so pretty.

This next one was a deep plunge pool.

I think it was meant to be used for an icy dip, I don’t remember.

There were loads of artefacts, sculptures and carvings along with the history of the baths.

This temple spa ‘Aquae Sulis’ was dedicated to the goddess Sulis Minerva. She was the primary deity worshipped there.

That side profile 😉

Obviously, I couldn’t include all the photos I took, so I had to narrow it down a bit.

While in Bath, we also went to an Art Gallery and a Fashion Museum. I simply couldn’t stop taking photos. We were quite ambitious to do all this in one day, so there was quite a bit of walking around. All I can say, is that it was good, but we were exhausted by the end!

I hope you enjoyed this post.

I will be adding posts on the fashion museum and the art gallery I visited as well.

Thanks for reading.

The stars reach out. reach back.
