My Makeup Staples | Face

Hello, lovely readers!

We’re back to the series all about my favourite makeup and beauty products. Some of these I’ve been using for years, others are new finds that I instantly fell in love with. But they are all ‘staples’ (or favourites) in my makeup collection.

Episode 4- Face.

face Collage2

Today I’m going to talk about products I use for my face- basically the base for my makeup. The bit where we cover up and turn our face into a blank canvas so we can beautify it. People say that as long as you’ve got a good base, you cant go wrong!

Colour corrector stick- Green

green2  green

If I have a few spots, I start out with this. Its green, so it neutralises red colours on your skin. I use it on any spots or blemishes I may have. I think its really cool and useful. Sometimes you can still see spots through concealer, but this helps a lot.

Max Factor

Facefinity 3 in 1 foundation.

foundation

Lots of people have been raving about this foundation, but I’m going to rave as well. I love it! It has good coverage and isn’t too heavy. It has a primer in it as well which is a bonus. I think this is probably one of the best affordable foundations out there.

Collection

Lasting perfection concealer.

This is my favourite concealer of all time! Its brilliant.

I have really dry skin, so I need a liquid concealer. This one is awesome! I don’t have anything more to say. XD

Real techniques

Miracle complexion sponge

blendcrop  blendpoint

  blendy

I’m so late to the party here, but I’ve recently discerned the power of sponges. And let me tell you, they beat using brushes by 100% this one is really good. is a small one, so it can get in all the nooks and crannies. You can use it wet or dry, I like both ways. I use it for both foundation and concealer.

Using a sponge is so much better than anything else. It blends everything really well and gives amazing coverage. No streaks, no smudges, no flakeyness. Its also super easy to use. . the pointed tip cover imperfections, the sides are for blending large areas of the face and the flat edge contours around eyes and nose.

These teardrop shaped, so called ‘beauty blenders’ are revolutionary. Get one now! (if you haven’t already.)

Buuut, if you are running low on funds, you can always get a slightly cheaper version. I got this in a pack of four, and it still works, but is wayyy not as good. Personally, I would recommend to get the other one, rather than this alterative.

Barbara Daly

Trade secrets concealer.

I love my liquid concealer, but if you are looking for a solid one, this tiny square is great. You can take it around in your bag because its so small, and touch up your makeup. I like the Barbara Daly brand, though not many people have heard of it. Try it out!

Miracle matte concealer stick

Another option for concealer. This stick is very good and easy to apply, but at £3.99 I’d say its a liiiittle bit pricy.

.

Rimmel London.

Clear complexion powder

powder

I love this translucent powder. I just apply it to my face after my base is done. It sets everything so your makeup last a bit longer. Its very light and barely feels like your wearing anything.

.

MUA

Mosaic bronzer

bronzer

I use this bronzer, though not every day. Its cool how it has all the different colours that blend together. Its alright, but I’m not too fond of it. Does anyone have any good bronzers they would recommend?

.

Revolution

Vivid baked highlighter

highlight

I love this highlighter! Mine is in White Gold and it looks lovely on the skin. Its beautiful and shimmery.

.

I haven’t included any blusher on this post, because I don’t have one at the moment. I want to buy one but I’m not sure which. Help! Anyone found any good blushers?

What are you loving at the moment?

I hoped you liked this post.

Thanks for reading.
