Hello lovely readers!
Another month is coming to a close, so its time for a breakdown of the music I’ve been loving and listening to the most.
Let’s get to it!
I’m totally into soft acoustic music this month…
Boyce Avenue feat. Kina Grannis
- Fast car (acoustic version)
I love this song. A modern remix of ‘Fast car’ has recently been released by Jonas blue (feat. Dakota.) This acoustic rendition, however, much more reflects Tracy Chapman’s original version, and even surpasses it. The style and soft tone generates a perfect level of both emotion and atmosphere.
They split of the song into two parts. It creates a beautiful contrast and blend between the male and female voices; making it more interesting, like a story. And it sounds amazing! This is the song I’ve listened to the most this month. I love it. (You can hear it on Spotify and YouTube.)
- Pillowtalk (acoustic)
Zayn’s widely anticipated solo career had got off to an amazing start with the huge hit ‘Pillowtalk.’ I think this song shows the public what kind of artist he wants to be. It shows his creativity and personality; broadcasting his own individual image and style. This song gives us an idea of what to expect for his album and future music career.
I really love the acoustic version, as well as the original. I always thought Zayn was a great singer, and this stripped back, live session really shows off his vocal ability, as well as a portraying a certain vulnerability in his voice. I like it.
Down like silver
- light that match
I discovered this band last month, and I featured them in my January MOTM with the song ‘Wolves.’ Afterwards, I began listening to more of their music. Now, I can’t stop! I would say it’s become an obsession. Eeek. They are definitely a new favourite of mine.
They are a small, relatively unknown duo with a soft acoustic style. Perfect chill out music! Check them out.
Don’t have much to say about this song. This is a TUNE. XD
- Days are gone
- Honey and I
- Holes in the sky (with M83)
- Go slow
I’ve loved Haim for a quite some time, but recently I found myself getting back into their music. I don’t think there is any other band out there that’s quite like this trio of sisters and their wonderful style of music!
Above are some of the lesser known songs that I’ve been listening to a lot this month. Sooo good.
What music have you been loving this month?
I hope you liked this post.
Thanks for reading.
